A lot of us that live in the north are used to losing signal depending where our commute or work travel takes us. At least with Podcasts we can download them before we set off, or depending on our streaming service don’t suffer from the drop-off, unlike live radio.

I recently embarked on a journey to curate a list of top podcasts that would not only enrich our learning but also provide the kind of entertainment that makes a commute or workout fly by.

At TEG Corporate, we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of learning and development. We recognise the potential of each individual, be it an entrepreneur looking to disrupt the market or an intrapreneur aiming to bring innovation within a corporate structure.

The criteria for the selection were stringent. The podcast had to offer a balanced blend of actionable insights, credible information, and top-tier guests or experts in business. After meticulous research and a fair bit of listening, here’s the list I narrowed it down to.

  1. How I Built This – Guy Raz dives deep into the stories of the people who walked the treacherous path of entrepreneurship. This podcast can be an entrepreneur’s manual, providing not just inspiration but also gritty details of building something from scratch.

  2. HBR IdeaCast – The Harvard Business Review is the epitome of thought leadership in business, and their podcast is no different. Each episode offers a dense pack of ideas that intrapreneurs could use to instigate change within your organisation.

  3. The Tim Ferriss Show – Tim Ferriss dissects excellence by interviewing top-performers from various sectors. The breadth of knowledge covered here is astounding, making it a must-listen for anyone striving to excel in their professional life.

  4. Radiolab – While not strictly a business podcast, Radiolab is a pioneer in storytelling and presentation. Learning from its production quality and narrative structure could add value to anyone in the business of communication or content creation.

  5. The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett – This podcast provides a no-filter view into the life of a CEO, highlighting both the struggles and triumphs, and offering unparalleled insight into the mind of a leader.

  6. Jay Shetty’s On Purpose – Jay Shetty provides a refreshing look into the importance of mindfulness and purpose in work. This perspective could be incredibly beneficial for intrapreneurs looking to bring a new cultural shift within their teams.

  7. Stuff You Should Know – A podcast that covers a vast array of topics, offering the kind of general knowledge that can often spur innovative ideas and cross-industry connections.

  8. On Brand with Rory Sutherland – Focusing on the softer elements that make or break a brand, Rory’s conversations can offer actionable tips on brand building, a critical skill for entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs alike.

  9. A Bit of Optimism by Simon Sinek – If you’re familiar with the “Golden Circle” concept, then Simon Sinek needs no introduction. His podcast aims to inspire and instill a sense of optimism, a vital trait for anyone in a leadership role.

  10. That Tech Show – A newer addition to the tech podcast world, but one that provides a casual yet insightful view into the constantly evolving technology scene. Relevant for any business as tech becomes more and more integrated into all aspects of work.

These podcasts resonate with the core values we hold at TEG Corporate—continuous learning, leadership, and innovation. In a world that is evolving at a breakneck speed, standing still is not an option.
